ACVB Announces New Board of Directors
ALBUQUERQUE - The Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) is pleased to announce the Board of Directors for the fiscal year 2007-2008. The new board was elected by a unanimous vote at the 2007 ACVB Annual Luncheon.

Heading the Board of Directors is Sally Adams, President of Clear Channel Outdoor in New Mexico. Adams is a native New Mexican who also serves on the Board of Albuquerque Economic Development and is a past Chair for Junior Achievement of New Mexico.

"As a native Albuquerquean, I cannot express how excited I am about this opportunity to work with such a great staff and board at the ACVB; they truly love this destination! The success of the years ahead for the tourism and convention industry relies heavily on a strong publicprivate partnership and an understanding of the economic impact of a viable downtown, and a progressive hotel and convention center growth initiative. I'm really looking forward to playing a role in that success," Adams said.

Adams' involvement in business and economic development can also be witnessed in our local classrooms. As a volunteer, Adams focuses on teaching children about the importance of entrepreneurship and free enterprise. In addition, she works to increase awareness for business and its importance in the growth of our community and state, and is currently working on the Junior Achievement National Hispanic and Native American Initiative Program. Adams' efforts earned her the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2005 and the United States Attorney's Citizen of the Year award in 2004. As president of the Clear Channel Outdoor New Mexico, Adams leads 31 employees who provide marketing solutions utilizing outdoor advertising primarily in Albuquerque including the new digital network. Clear Channel Outdoor donates nearly $600,000 worth of non-profit billboard space to more than 50 local organizations in New Mexico each year.
